ayurveda – LIVING
THE THREE PILLARS
Ayurveda has been the traditional Indian medical system for more than 5,000 years and is still primary care for more than 1.3 billion people on the Indian subcontinent. It regards the whole human being in his physical and mental constitution and his social environment
Each person has an individual composition of the three Doshas. The balance of these three (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) determines the physical and mental functions of the individual. With the elements ether and water, Vata influences movement processes. With the elements of fire and water, Pitta is responsible for biochemical activities and Kapha is the structural principle and gives stability with the help of the elements water and earth.
One of the core elements of the holistic health system of Ayurveda is nutrition. Adapted to the appropriate constitutional types, the varied and vegetarian diet ensures a healthy body and a balanced mind.
YOGA & MEDITATION
The alternation of requirements and relaxation can be achieved through daily yoga or other exercises that should be integrated into each day to create an open, meaningful spirituality that leads to forgiveness and peace with oneself and the environment.
The third pillar are medical consultations, prescribed treatments and our dietary supplements. This means, that the focus is on areas, we can influence ourselves and for which we are responsible.
