BUILDING BRIDGES TO EUROPE
In the eighth generation, the ancestors of Dr. Jobin Joy Madukkakuzhy are passionate about the traditional healing arts of Ayurveda in Southwest India. These traditional Ayurveda families and their doctors are called Vaidyas, an ancient word from Sanskrit, which means "doctor" or "healer". Anyone who has come to know this family in the country of origin or here in Germany can only confirm this expression. It is a matter of heart for Dr. Jobin and his family to bring help and healing to people. They use both the knowledge and the recipes of their ancestors, as well as state-of-the-art technology, to exchange ideas with colleagues on specific internet platforms, and they manufacture their drugs themselves under strict, externally controlled quality standards.
The Madukkakuzhys are a family in which Ayurveda tradition has been lived for generations. They draw on the tradition and rich experience, as well as the strength and vision of their ancestors who created the foundation for their work.
In the two health centers in Kerala, the parent house and family seat in Parathode and the elegant new complex Lake & Mountains, they examine every guest under the guidance of their father - Chief Physician Dr. Joy Mathew - and his sons Dr. Robin Jacob and Dr. Jobin Joy Madukkakuzhy, before they start the treatment and intensively discuss the health questionnaire with them. The treatment program is determined individually according to the dosha type and condition.
In both centers, you will experience the special treatments of Ayurveda, as well as yoga, meditation and the Indian cuisine in a strongly connected traditional Ayurveda family. You will stay in well-kept guesthouses. The rooms are equipped with shower / WC, desk and have balcony or terrace with seating. The temperatures in Kerala vary between 26 ° C and 32 ° C - the best travel time for Europeans is from September to April.
In Bad Bocklet, Dr. Jobin Joy Madukkakuzhy and Dr. Sajan Joseph work under the responsibility of doctors approved in Germany according to the same principle. With a lot of peace and Europe's strongest chalybeate spring., Bad Bocklet helps to cure chronic diseases with the help of the original Ayurvedic medicine.
To offer all our guests Ayurveda in the tradition and high quality of the Madukkakuzhy family, you will find a second center in a breathtakingly beautiful scenery, on a clean rainwater lake, surrounded by high mountains, that harmoniously forms a healing field with authentic Ayurveda. The Ayurveda Center is just 55 km - one hour drive - from Cochin International Airport and a good hour from Parathodu, the family headquarters of the Madukkakuzhy family. It is managed in the proven quality by doctors and employees from the parent house

THE JOURNEY FROM KERALA TO BAD BOCKLET
There are not just Ayurveda doctors in this family, but also so-called "Western medicine doctors" such as Dr. Mary Josephine Kalapurackal, Dr. Jobin's physical aunt. She is a sisters' nurse and a German specialist in gynecology and was sent to Germany as a very talented young woman in 1960 to study medicine, which she - as an Indian - completed with "Summa cum laude" within the standard period of study, in 1967 at the University of Würzburg. Afterwards, she completed her specialist training in gynecology and then returned to her home country, where she worked her whole life as a doctor in Indian hospitals. At the end of her professional life, she took the journey again to attend a specialized training in palliative care at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Schweinfurt, since, to this day, she works in the outpatient and inpatient palliative medicine of her specialty.
In this context, Dr. Jobin came to Germany for the first time - as he thought- in 2006. On this visit, he happened to meet with Ebba-Karina Sander (MBA), health economist and lecturer, who had just been seriously ill and therefore immediately and with pleasure accepted his invitation to the Ayurveda Hospital in Kerala. From this contact and his own experience in dealing with the healing power of Ayurveda, a deep friendship and connectedness arose, that led to the establishment of a joint German branch in 2014 in Kunzmann's Hotel, in the meditative and quiet state spa of Bad Bocklet.
